Opening Tip
•   For the first time since joining the Lone Star Conference, the Rattlers have advanced to the conference tournament, earning the fourth-seed and the bye in the opening round.
•   The Rattlers look to snap a six-game losing skid to Texas A&M Kingsville in the fourth all-time neutral site meeting between the teams.
•   The next win for Head Coach Jim Zeleznak will be the 250th in his head basketball coaching career. He ranks third in wins in StMU history, needing 31 for second (Ed Messbarger, 279-139; 1964-78).
•   Both Caleb Jordan and Kobe Magee rank in the top six in St. Mary's school history with 128 and 130 three-pointers, respectively.
•   The Rattlers have made 10 or more free throws in the last 12 games and have moved into fourth in the Lone Star Conference in free throw percentage, shooting .752.
•   St. Mary's is 10-2 in games played on March 3 in history, winning four straight. They are also 4-0 in games on the 3rd against current Lone Star Conference teams.
•   StMU ranks in the top 50 in the nation in both free throw percentage (43rd; 75.2) and blocked shots per game (46th; 3.8), while senior Kobe Magee ranks 39th in three-point field goal percentage at 41.5.
•   Since joining the Division II ranks, the Rattlers are 14-10 all-time in conference tournament games, with all 24 games coming in the now defunct Heartland Conference.
•   St. Mary's has made at least three three-pointers in every game this season and seven times have sank 10 or more, including a school-record 16 against Regis and West Texas A&M.
