• The St. Mary's Men's Tennis team opened the regular season with a pair of 6-1 victories over Tabor and Schreiner on Saturday.
• Junior co-captain Sebastian Azcui was named the Lone Star Conference Men's Tennis Player of the week for the first week of the season after going 2-0 in singles and 1-0 in doubles.
• St. Mary's is 2-0 against Texas Lutheran (in DII era) and the clubs last played in 2018 - 9-0 win for the Rattlers. StMU is also 1-0 against St. Thomas, sweeping the Celts last season.
• A season ago, sophomore co-captain Nicolas Llosa was 14-4 in doubles, posting the second-best winning percentage in a single season (77.8).
• The men's team is receiving votes in the first ITA poll of the year.
• The Rattlers have five players appearing in the top 20 in the regional rankings. Niklas Knoerr (T9), Nicolas Llosa (T11), Oskar Irdoja (T11), Chad Nguyen (13) and Ryan Koth (20) are all ranked in the November poll. Llosa and Knoerr (4), Irdoja and Rafael Macedo (6) and Jake Faryniarz and Nguyen (10) rank amongst the top 10 doubles teams.
• Director of Tennis Bill Macom needs one more victory to move into a tie for third on the all-time coaching victories list at St. Mary's. Macom currently has 19 wins in his third season.
• The 15-player roster for the team is believed to be the largest for the Rattlers in the Division II era.
