•   The St. Mary's Men's Tennis team will have a split squad over the weekend, as one squad will play four matches in Memphis, Tenn., and Southaven, Miss., and the other group will host Hardin-Simmons on Saturday.
•   For the second-straight week, the Rattlers earned the Lone Star Conference Player of the Week award as Chad Nguyen was honored for his wins over Texas Lutheran and St. Thomas. Sebastian Azcui won the award in week one after going 2-0 in singles and 1-0 in doubles.
•   All five opponents this weekend are first-time opponents for the Rattlers. St. Mary's has never played in Mississippi or Tennessee before, though the team has traveled to Florida several times in school history.
•   A season ago, sophomore co-captain Nicolas Llosa was 14-4 in doubles, posting the second-best winning percentage in a single season (77.8).
•   The Rattlers have five players appearing in the top 20 in the regional rankings. Niklas Knoerr (T9), Nicolas Llosa (T11), Oskar Irdoja (T11), Chad Nguyen (13) and Ryan Koth (20) are all ranked in the November poll. Llosa and Knoerr (4), Irdoja and Rafael Macedo (6) and Jake Faryniarz and Nguyen (10) rank amongst the top 10 doubles teams.
•   Director of Tennis Bill Macom passed Ian Ward for third on the all-time coaches wins list last week. Macom has 21 wins in his third season -- all affected by Covid
