SAN ANTONIO – For the second-straight season, St. Mary's Women's Soccer standout
Megan Copeland has been named to the Division 2 Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) South Central All-Region team.
Â
Copeland, a senior from San Antonio, was a Second-Team selection last season and earns a First-Team nod this year, while senior forward
Juni Ejere (Weatherford, Texas) was tabbed on the Second-Team for her first-ever award by the group.
Â
Copeland wrapped up her final campaign with a school-record tying five game-winning goals in 2022. She had 18 points (seven goals, four assists) and helped the Rattlers reach their first-ever NCAA Tournament. She was named to the Lone Star All-Conference First Team twice and the All-Tournament team.
Â
Ejere led the Rattlers with 11 goals, adding 25 points, despite missing three games during the season. She was also a two-time First-Team All-Conference pick for the Gold & Blue, chipping in three game winning goals.
Â
The Rattlers were one of seven teams in the South Central Region with multiple selections to the two teams. DBU led with five picks, while West Texas A&M added four. Copeland and the other First-Team selections will all be forwarded to the All-America ballot, which will be released on Nov. 30.
