LUBBOCK, Texas – It isn't how you start, it's how you finish and the St. Mary's Men's Soccer team finished both halves at Lubbock Christian scoring late goals for the 2-1 win.

The Rattlers (10-0-5, 6-0-1 Lone Star Conference) scored in the 34th minute and the 88th to secure the victory and remain undefeated on the season.

Dani Gimena (Ondara, Alicante, Spain) scored for the second-straight contest, heading one in off the cross bar on a corner by senior
Deni Cresto (Curitiba, Parana, Brazil) that senior
Ariel Cardozo (Ciudad de Este, Paraguay) sent back towards the goal to Gimena for the 1-0 lead.

The Chaps (7-6-3, 4-2-1 LSC) tied the score in the 65th minute on a ball that squeaked past the arms of a diving
Johnny Thurbin (Lingfield, Surrey, England), who started his first game in goal for the Rattlers. Thurbin spent all 90 minutes as goalkeeper and made three other saves in the contest.

In the 88th minute, senior
Cian Foley (Wexford, Ireland) blasted a free kick over five defenders and the LCU goalie for the game winner. It is the third goal of the season for Foley and the fourth game winner of his career.

St. Mary's outshot the Chaps 18-12 on the night and had eight shots on goal, compared to just three for LCU.

The Rattlers host UT Tyler for Senior Night on Wednesday at 5 p.m. They conclude the regular season on Saturday at Texas A&M International at 6 p.m.
