TAKING THE PITCH
Fresh off a 3-0 win over OLLU, the St. Mary's Rattlers return to the pitch for a non-conference tilt against UT-Tyler. The Rattlers will honor Ollie Wright during their "Rattlers in the Pros" night at Sigma Beta Chi Field. Fans who attend and check in on their FangCentives app will be eligible to win signed items from Ollie, who now plays for San Antonio FC.
St. Mary's has won back-to-back games for the first time this season after knocking off OLLU last week. The Rattlers cruised to a 3-0 win behind a two-goal performance from midfielder Deni Cresto. StMU has controlled the pace of the game their last two times out and will look to continue that positive trend against the Patriots of UT-Tyler.
For the Patriots, they come in at 2-1-1 on the season. The Patriots dropped a 1-0 contest to No. 17 Rogers State last time out and will look to return to the scoreboard on Wednesday. The Patriots took the Hillcats down to the wire, finally succumbing to a golden goal in double overtime.
The Patriots and Rattlers have recent history that promises to make Wednesday's game a "can't miss" affair at Sigma Beta Chi Field. The Rattlers own the 2-1 series lead, but dropped their most recent matchup in 1-0 fashion. St. Mary's looks to avenge their spring loss to UT-Tyler with another offensive showcase.
RATTLER STORYLINES
- Deni Cresto comes in on the heels of his first ever multi-goal game in his collegiate career. For his efforts, Cresto was an honorable mention by the Lone Star Conference for week three.
- The Rattlers continue to put pressure on opposing defenses, tallying 23 shots (seven on goal) against the Saints.
- With a win, St. Mary's can extend their current streak to three games.
SCOUTING UT-TYLER

- Offensively, the Pats have put 23 shots on goal, but converted only five of those times.
- The Patriots have accumulated 28 corner kicks and are 1-1 on penalty kicks.
