TAKING THE PITCH
Following an offensive clinic on Friday night, the St. Mary's Rattlers welcome DI opponent Texas Southern to the friendly confines of Sigma Beta Chi Field on Sunday afternoon. The Rattlers found their stride one night ago in their 6-3 win over Western Colorado, and now look to spring the upset over the Tigers.

Texas Southern comes to San Antonio in need of a win. After a slow 1-4 start to the season, the Tigers are in search of some momentum heading into their conference slate. The Tigers are coming off of a close win over Texas A&M International, and will look to make it back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

For the Rattlers, they proved that offense can come in droves on Friday night, but must also turn their attention to the defensive side. Two late goals by the Mountaineers made the game closer on the scoreboard than it actually was, but the Rattlers must continue working to shut down their opponents as they prepare for a vaunted Lone Star Conference schedule.

RATTLER STORYLINES
- Juni Ejere and Eliza Merrion are leading the Rattler charge offensively. Both players registered a pair of goals against the Mountaineers.
- The Rattlers are 4-0 all-time against the Tigers, but haven't played against Texas Southern since 2013. St. Mary's won that day, 4-1.
- St. Mary's is looking for their first winning streak as they prepare to head into a loaded Lone Star Conference slate.

SCOUTING TEXAS SOUTHERN
- The Tigers earned their first win of the season against A&M International on Friday night, but had lost their previous four coming in.
- Texas Southern has struggled to score this season. Before scoring against the DustDevils, the Tigers had failed to score in their past three games.
- This is the fifth road game of the season for the Tigers already.

UP NEXT
