Jeremiah Sanchez earned his second Lone Star Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week honor this week, as announced by the league office on Thursday.
Sanchez extended his singles winning streak to 12-0 on the season with wins over UAFS and No. 22 Cameron. Against Cameron, Sanchez was the last player on the court with the match tied 3-3 against CU's Oscar del Granado. Sanchez rallied, scoring four straight points to win 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 and clinch the win for the Rattlers marking their first win over a ranked team this season. Sanchez is ranked No. 16 in the country in singles.
Sanchez and the Rattlers are in action tomorrow at Rohrbach Tennis Stadium as they host Western New Mexico University.
