Texas A&M Kingsville (6-2) at St. Mary's • 4 p.m.

Opening Tip
• St. Mary's begins a five-game homestand -- the longest stretch of the season -- hosting Texas A&M International and Texas A&M Kingsville for a pair of non-conference matchups. Both games are scheduled for 4 p.m.
• St. Mary's and Texas A&M Kingsville have been playing almost since the beginning - as the two teams met for the first time in 1927-28, the fourth year of basketball for the Rattlers. The teams have met 124 times with StMU holding a slight 64-60 edge in the series. The series against Texas A&M International didn't begin until 2004 - and the Rattlers own a 23-10 lead in those all-time meetings.
• The Rattlers have had a different leading scorer in each of the last five games. Only senior Kobe Magee has led the team more than once, as he had the most points in the first two contests.
• St. Mary's currently ranks 33rd in the nation - and second in the Lone Star Conference - in steals per game with 9.2. It is a true team effort on the swipes, as no player ranks individually in that category.
• Senior G Caleb Jordan has scored in double figures in the last five games and is second on the team averaging 13.5 points per game. He has scored 10 or more in 53 of 74 career games with the Rattlers.
