TAKING THE PITCH
St. Mary's will be kicking off the Lone Star Conference tournament in Canyon, Texas against West Texas A&M. The game is scheduled for a 7pm kickoff with the winner heading to Dallas for a date with No. 5 DBU on Friday.
The Rattlers won their last game against Lubbock Christian, 1-0, earning them the five-seed in the LSC. The season finale came down to the wire after both teams were held scoreless until late in the game. Juni Ejere, however, played the hero and scored in the 84th minute to lift the Rattlers to their ninth victory of the season.
The Lady Buffs dominated their last match against Texas A&M International, ending their regular season with an impressive 10-0 victory. Led by Hannah Kelly-Lusk and her three goals, the Lady Buffs look to take both games from St. Mary's this season.
