COUNTDOWN TO TIPOFF
Fresh off their final exhibition game of the season, the St. Mary's Rattlers head across town to take on the UTSA Roadrunners at the Convocation Center. The Rattlers are looking to challenge their cross-town rivals before hosting their home opener on Saturday.
The Rattlers are averaging 81 points per game on 44.4% shooting from the floor. The Rattlers are shooting 41.9% from behind the arc, something that will need to continue as StMU searches for the next evolution in their offensive progression. Kobe Magee leads the way for the Rattlers with 44 points through the first two games.
The Roadrunners are finishing a season-high six game home stand tonight against the Rattlers. UTSA has won three of their last five games, including reaching the championship game of their own tournament over the Thanksgiving break. The Roadrunners are led by guards Jordan Ivy-Curry and Dhieu Deing who are each averaging 16 points per game. The Roadrunners are shooting 38.3 percent as a team while averaging 68.3 points and 37 boards per game.
