TAKING THE PITCH
The Rattlers head to North Texas for a conference match against No. 5 DBU, the top team in the LSC. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. as St. Mary's has intentions of springing the upset.
No. 5 DBU is riding a four-game winning streak behind one of the nation's best offenses. After handing St. Edward's their biggest loss since 1991 (7-0 final score), the Patriots took their scoring on the road and defeated Midwestern State, 4-2. With the postseason on the horizon, the Pats are intent on claiming another conference crown.
For your St. Mary's Rattlers, they are coming off of a tie with Oklahoma Christian, 1-1. Despite Megan Copeland coverting a corner kick to give the Rattlers an early lead, StMU was unable to leave Oklahoma with the full three points. The Rattlers will look to find some more offense on Wednesday night as they seek a win over one of the top teams in the country.
