TAKING THE PITCH
The Rattlers will be hitting the road this weekend to battle it out with Oklahoma Christian in another Lone Star Conference contest. The match is scheduled for Saturday, October 16th at 1 p.m.
St. Mary's was able to win on their home field on Wednesday, emerging victorious by a 3-1 margin against Texas A&M International. Megan Copeland scored early in the game, giving the Rattlers the confidence they needed to play hard the whole game. This next match will show if the team is ready to begin another streak.
The Eagles are also coming off a Wednesday win where they faced Eastern New Mexico for the third time in history. After being down. 1-0, the Eagles were able to turn the tables around in the second half and took home a victory.
RATTLER STORYLINES
Miranda Narvaez scored her first goal of the season, bringing her career total to eleven goals with the Rattlers.
StMU has beat Oklahoma Christian in the past three matches.
Tori Permillion scored the last goal when these two squads met in 2019 and will surely be seeking the back of the net this time around.
SCOUTING OKLAHOMA CHRISTIAN
-The Eagles scored the winning goal on Wednesday's match with less than two minutes left on the clock.
-OC was the 2004 NAIA Region 6 Champion.
-The win against Eastern New Mexico was their first on the road since 2019.
