Women's Tennis Adds Callah Preti on National Signing Day

SAN ANTONIO - The St. Mary's University Women's Tennis team signed Callah Preti to a National Letter of Intent during National Signing Day last week.

Preti, the Liberty Lake, Washington native will join the Rattlers next fall after graduating from Gonzaga Preparatory School in Spokane.

"I am really looking forward to working with Callah next year," said St. Mary's Director of Tennis, Bill Macom. "She is ranked #12 in Washington State and #16 in the Northwest Section according to Tennis Recruiting Network. It is rare to come across a six-foot tall left handed player and we are happy to add her to the roster. Callah has been a very enthusiastic recruit for a long time and we were fortunate to have her in for a tryout early in the recruiting process. We anticipate that she will help push our program to another level."

Callah is active in National Honor Society and was an AP Scholar Recipient in 2020. Preti intends to study biology at St. Mary's.

What are they saying?
Callah is a hard worker who has continued to improve and who's game will continue to expand in college, but more importantly is a great teammate with her practice partners!

- Andy Jansen, Spokane Racquet Club, Elite Junior's Coach

Callah brings a positive quiet energy to the tennis court. Her willingness to try new tactics, strategies and skill sets makes her every tennis coach's dream player! Callah will be a true asset to any team, both on and off the tennis court!

- Jeff Urie, Spokane Club, Director of Tennis
