Women's Soccer Hits the Road to Open Conference Play

SAN ANTONIO – The St. Mary's University Women's Soccer team hits the road this week to open up conference action. The Rattlers will take on Angelo State on Thursday, September 26, and St. Edward's on Saturday, September 28.

Series Information:
 
The Rattlers and Belles series dates back to 1996. The first meeting resulted in a 1-1 draw. Since then, Angelo State holds a 9-8 edge and are winners of the last four meetings. The two teams haven't played since 2015 where the Belles came away with a 3-2 victory in San Antonio. 
 
St. Edwards has dominated the series with the Rattlers as they have won the last 14 meetings and hold an overall record of 35-22-6 in the series. The last victory for St. Mary's came in 2010 where the Rattlers defeated the Hilltoppers 1-0 in San Antonio. 
 
Key Players:
 
Alexia Maldonado and Serena Frank have each scored two goals for the Rattlers this season. 
 
Miranda Narvaez leads the Rattlers with two assists.
