Fourth inning derails Rattlers

HOUSTON — Rattler Baseball returned to action on Saturday on Day 2 of the Houston Invitational, falling to Henderson State 8-2.
 
Both teams traded scoreless innings through the first three innings before Henderson State took control, striking for four runs in the top of the fourth inning.
 
The pair of Rattler runs would come courtesy of Donnie Perez and Bryce Brandl who each tallied RBI base hits.
 
James Davison, Jacob Aguilar and Nick Galaviz were the other Rattlers to record a base hit with Davison and Galaviz each posting triples.
 
St. Mary's will look to end the weekend on a high-note when it takes on Tarleton State in the finale of the Houston Invitational at Minute Maid Park at 6 p.m.
 
Baseball battled Henderson State on the second day of the Houston Invitational at Minute Maid Park on Saturday.
