DURANT, Okla. — St. Mary's Softball continued its winning ways on the final day of the Southeastern Oklahoma Regional Invitational with victories over Eastern New Mexico and Cameron.

The Rattlers began the day by outlasting Eastern New Mexico with a 3-1 victory behind a complete game effort in the circle from Jorden Russell. The sophomore dominated allowing one unearned run on four hits as she struckout eight.

In the bottom of the second inning, Russell helped her own cause by driving in the first run of the game for the Rattlers with an RBI single to right. An RBI single from Alessandra Ortiz later in the inning put the Rattlers in the lead before an RBI double from Marcela Vasquez in the fifth secured the Rattler victory.

The nightcap against Cameron followed the same script with the Rattlers surrendering a run in the top of the first. However, this time, it was the long ball that pushed the Rattlers in front.

Trailing 1-0 in the fourth, Brenda Iparraguirre tied the game for the Rattlers with a solo shot to center field. Later in the inning, Jorden Alvarez lifted a three-run homer to left center field giving the Rattlers a 4-1 lead.

St. Mary's would seal the win with a five-run fifth inning beginning with a 2-RBI double by Iparraguirre who finished the game going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs scored.

The Rattlers will now set their sights on the NFCA Division II Leadoff Classic in Clearwater, Florida beginning on Feb. 10.
