Second half flurry drops Rattlers in Laredo

LAREDO, Texas — One-week removed from its final home game of the season, the St. Mary's Rattlers visited the Texas A&M International Dustdevils on Saturday.

Despite 14 points on 6-of-12 shooting from Yanni Wetzell, the Rattlers fell 66-53 to the Dustdevils.

Despite being held to 35 percent shooting in the first half, the Rattlers held a two-point lead heading into intermission.

A Dustdevil surge in the second half was too much for St. Mary's to overcome as TAMIU shot just under 60 percent from the field.

Ed Seay produced eight points and three rebounds off the bench while Will Ferguson and Robbie Benavides added six points apiece.

With one week left in the regular season, the Rattlers will head to Newman on Feb 23 before capping the regular year at Oklahoma Panhandle State.
