By Chad Peters | St. Mary's Athletics Communications

SAN ANTONIO — St. Mary's Baseball will open up the Heartland Conference Championship Tournament on Thursday against top-seeded St. Edward's.

The Rattlers (31-19), the tournament's No. 4 seed, will square off against St. Edward's at 1 p.m. at Red Murff Field in Belton, Texas.

The double-elimination, four-team tournament will continue Friday, with St. Mary's game time being dependent upon the outcome of Game 1. The championship game is slated for noon Saturday.

The full tournament bracket can be found at the Heartland Conference Tournament Central page here.

Once on the outside looking in on advancing to the postseason, St. Mary's reeled off eight victories over its past 10 games to secure a spot in the tournament, finishing just one game behind No. 3 seed Oklahoma Christian. Lubbock Christian is the tournament's No. 2 seed.
