SAN ANTONIO — The St. Mary's offense erupted with a record performance against Oklahoma Panhandle State in the finale of the three-game series, defeating the Aggies 25-4 in seven innings.

It was the sixth-most runs scored by any Rattler team in the modern era, the most since 2010. Nine different Rattlers tallied base hits in the victory, with Bryan Ramirez, Angel Vega, Keith Funk, Donnie Perez and Kyle Jenkins each collecting multiple hits.

Funk helped lead the surge as he went 3-for-3 from the plate with a home run, four-runs scored and five-RBI while Perez added five-RBI and a home run of his own as he went 3-for-4 with a run scored.

Jenkins contributed three-RBI of his own with a pair of runs scored as he finished 2-for-4 at the plate.

Jack Kaiser was 1-for-1 at the plate with a home run, three-runs scored and three-RBI.

Jaryd Hodgson picked up his third win of the season as he tossed five innings and struck out four. When the Rattlers turned to the bullpen, a perfect inning from Austin Eichman and a scoreless inning from Chris Jones capped off the victory.

Next, the Rattlers will host Angelo State in a non-conference matchup on March 29 at Dickson Stadium with first pitch slated for 6 p.m.
