University of Texas-Pan American: Played under head coach Manny Mantrana … Was the WAC Hitter of the Week as a sophomore and was the Great West Conference Player of the Week as a freshman … Named the UTPA Rookie of the Year … As a freshman, batted .345 with four doubles and two home runs and 23 RBIs … Recorded a .434 slugging and .437 on-base percentage, stealing six bases … Had a .991 fielding percentage … As a sophomore, batted .274, starting all 54 of his games played … Totaled seven doubles, two triples and two home runs with 22 RBIs … Also stole six bases … With his team, entered the WAC Tournament as the No. 2 seed, upsetting the No. 10-ranked team in the nation, Oklahoma State … Also entered the Great West conference Tournament as the No. 2 seed … Also played in Perfect Game Collegiate Summer League in Glen Falls, New York … Graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in business administration … Was named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll five straight semesters and was named to the Academic All-WAC Honors Team and was a four-time member of the Dean’s List.
