Men's Tennis upends CSU-Pueblo for 4th straight win

DENVER — After another spectacular performance, St Mary's Men's Tennis defeated Colorado State-Pueblo 8-1 on Friday afternoon.

The Snakes made it four straight wins with the victory as they are now halfway through their Rocky Mountain road trip. The match opened with yet another dazzling doubles display, with the Rattler No. 1's Adam Dockery and Brien Galon securing an 8-2 win over Menzel and Mould.

Jose Antelo and Michael Maciel would win by the same score over Alcala and Sullinger at No. 2 before Richie Foley and Josh Mosseri would defeat Chapasso and Ray by the score of 8-4 to secure the doubles sweep.

Now up 3-0, No. 1 Maciel would start off doubles with a 6-2, 6-3 win over CSUP's Menzel, before No. 2 Dockery would win 6-1, 7-6 over Alcala.

Antelo would follow suit by notching a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Chapasso at No. 3. No. 5 and No. 6 would go the same as the Rattlers would only drop one match on the way to victory. Rounding out the affair was Aldo Maldonado, who defeated Ray 6-0, 6-2, and Foley who won against Sullinger 6-1, 6-2.

The win improves the Rattlers' record to 6-7 on the season as they will look for their fifth straight victory Saturday as they take on Colorado Mesa at 10 a.m.
