DALLAS — The 2015 season has come to an end for the St. Mary's Rattlers following a 4-0 loss at the hands of the Dallas Baptist Patriots Friday afternoon at Patriot Soccer Field.

Through the first half, the Rattlers played strong against the No. 13 team in the country, conceding a lone goal in the 39th minute. In the final match of her career, Alyssa Taramona (Sr., Forney, Texas) made ten saves as she tried to halt the Patriot offense, which fired 24 shots, with 14 on frame.

The senior Taramona leaves as the Rattlers all-time saves leader since the program began playing in the NCAA. Fellow senior Brittney Lacek (Gillette, Wyo.) placed her lone shot attempt on goal in the match while finishing the season as the team leader in assists with seven and third in points with 11.

Lauren Peck (Sr., San Antonio) finished her senior campaign with five goals and one assist, placing her alongside Lacek for third on the team in points.

It was a season that was highlighted by a five-match winning streak in October that helped propel the Rattlers to first in the Heartland Conference prior to the final two matches. The winning streak tied the second longest under coach Corwyn Ritch.

With their top two goal scorers, Kristal Williams (Jr., Ponder, Texas) and Rachel Gurinsky (So., San Antonio), set to return next season, the future looks bright for the club as they set their sights on 2016.
