Volleyball drops 3-0 match to Texas Woman's

DENTON, Texas — Texas Woman's collected its 13th victory of the season in handing St. Mary's Volleyball a 3-0 defeat on Wednesday evening.
 
The Pioneers won the nonconference tilt 25-19, 25-18, 25-13 to improve to 13-3 on the season. The Rattlers fell to 3-13 on the year.
 
Jenna Paul and Channing Hankins had good showings for the Rattlers, as Paul recorded a team-high eight kills and a .294 hitting percentage while Hankins hit .238 with seven kills. Hankins added three block assists, equaling Lauren Holman's total to lead the squad.
 
Maddy Walsh and Rachael Scicchitano split setting duties, with Walsh tallying 14 assists to Scicchitano's 13. Tori Estrada paced the team in digs with 17.
 
Texas Woman's outhit St. Mary's .250-.124 and committed two fewer errors in the victory.
 
St. Mary's will retake the court Saturday, when it hosts Texas A&M International in a big Heartland Conference match beginning at Noon at Bill Greehey Arena.
