Volleyball falls in straight sets to ENMU

PORTALES, N.M. — St. Mary's Volleyball dropped a three-set road match to Eastern New Mexico on Thursday evening, falling 25-11, 25-19, 25-18.
 
ENMU (12-13) used a red-hot offensive attack to defeat the Rattlers (5-18) in nonconference play, hitting .429 as a team behind a match-high 15 kills from Lauren Frye.
 
Megan Isbell led the Rattlers' charge with eight kills and a .462 attack percentage, but it wasn't enough as StMU's overall attack fell short with a .136 hitting percentage.
 
Tori Estrada posted a team-high 16 digs, while Rachael Scicchitano and Maddy Walsh took turns setting up the offense with 12 and 10 assists, respectively. Isbell added a team-leading three block assists, while Jenna Paul posted six of the team's 29 kills.     
 
The Rattlers are back in action Friday night at 7 p.m., when they'll take on Oklahoma Panhandle State in Heartland Conference play in Goodwell, Okla.
