AUSTIN, Texas — No. 26 St. Edward's Men's Tennis took down No. 27 St. Mary's in a "Battle of the Saints" matchup Saturday, prevailing 8-1 to secure the Heartland Conference regular-season championship.

Michael Maciel teamed up for St. Mary's only point, winning their doubles matchup 9-7 against Clynes and Bueno.
With the loss, St. Mary's (10-9, 4-1) clinches the No. 2 seed in the Heartland Conference Tournament, to be held April 25-26 at the Rattlers' home court, Rohrbach Stadium Tennis Complex.
St. Mary's will wrap up the regular season when it plays McMurry at 11 a.m. Friday in Mason, Texas.
