KINGSVILLE, Texas — Rattler Baseball hit a snag on the road Tuesday, falling to Texas A&M Kingsville 10-4 to drop the season series 0-2.
No. 13 St. Mary's was subject to a deafening six-run fifth inning from the Javalinas at Nolan Ryan Field that it wasn't able to contest, slackening its record to 23-11 on the season.
The Javalinas rotated six arms throughout the contest with five tossing no more than one inning, which the Rattlers smacked 10 hits off of but were only able to capitalize for four runs.

The game was close up until the fifth inning with the Rattlers trailing by just one, 2-1, before the Javalinas connected for five hits to score six runs to gain an 8-1 lead.
TAMUK tacked on two more runs in the eighth while the Rattlers added a final run in their last at-bat off a sac fly from
Brandon Sandoval (RS-Fr., Corpus Christi, Texas).

Al Gonzalez (RS-So., Pasadena, Texas) were the only Snakes to record a multiple-hit game with each recording two.
The Rattlers are back to Heartland Conference play this weekend, starting a three-game series with Texas-Permian Basin with a doubleheader at 3 p.m. Friday at Dickson Stadium.
