Nationally ranked Men's, Women's Tennis sweep UTPB

MIDLAND, Texas — Both the Men's and Women's Tennis teams made easy work of its first Heartland Conference match, downing Texas-Permian Basin 9-0.
 
No. 29 Men's Tennis swept the Falcons led by Michael Maciel (Fr., Sugarland, Texas), who trumped his opponents as the Rattlers' No. 1 in both singles and doubles.
 
With the win, Men's Tennis evened up its overall record at 3-3 and is now 1-0 in conference play.
 
For the Women, the No. 21 Lady Rattlers sweep their third straight opponent in the 9-0 match against UTPB, improving to 6-0 on the season and 1-0 in league play.
 
Mariana Rong (Jr., Jinan, China) led as the No. 1, defeating her opponents in both singles and doubles.
 
Men's and Women's Tennis continue its league play, facing Dallas Baptist on Friday.
