Box Score VICTORIA, Texas — St. Mary's Baseball usually doesn't have a problem getting its bats going.

But Wednesday night the Rattlers were held to three hits against Houston-Victoria, dropping their second straight game, 4-1.

The Rattlers put up first, scoring one run in the second that was erased when the Jaguars had four consecutive, one-run innings starting in the fourth.

The Jaguars (10-19) recorded eight hits off a three-man, Rattler pitching rotation with starting pitcher Greg Dobb (RS-So., Keller, Texas) being charged with the loss to drop to 1-3 on the season.

Al Gonzalez (RS-So., Pasedena, Texas), Drake Roberts (Jr., Brenham, Texas) and Adrian Garcia (RS-Sr., El Paso, Texas) recorded the Rattlers' three hits on the day while Garcia scored the Rattlers' lone run off a dropped third strike that brought him home from third.

Having lost three of their last five games, No. 6 St. Mary's will need to bounce back quick as it starts its fourth Heartland Conference series this weekend.

The Rattlers start a three-game series with Oklahoma Panhandle State with a doubleheader Friday at 2 p.m. at Dickson Stadium.
