LAREDO, Texas — Their mini-skid now behind them, the St. Mary's Lady Rattlers rediscovered their offensive prowess Friday night.

All it took was a pinpoint second half to erase a three-game scoreless streak.

Brianna Shafer, Katy Belew and Kristal Williams all found the net — and all in the second half — as St. Mary's erased a scoreless first half to beat Texas A&M International 3-0 at Dustdevil Field.

Lynsie Shaw assisted Shafer's goal while Kaitie Kasperities assisted Williams to help St. Mary's improve to 3-3-1 on the season.

St. Mary's was the aggressor from the start, outshooting TAMIU (0-6) 13-7 with nine shots on goal. In the net, Alyssa Taramona logged five saves in 90 minutes for the Rattlers.

With the victory, St. Mary's improved to 18-2 in its all-time series against the Dustdevils.

The Rattlers will have a quick turnaround next week, taking on St. Edward's in non-conference action in Austin, Texas at 2:30 p.m. Monday.
