StMU names 154 student-athletes to Conference Honor Roll

SAN ANTONIO — The Heartland Conference released its list of 1186 student athletes named to the conference's Fall Academic Honor Roll. Student-athletes with a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) or higher are placed on the Commissioner's Honor Roll while those with a 3.5 GPA or better are on the President's Honor Roll.
 
St. Mary's placed the second most student-athletes on the list with 154 amongst its 11 teams. Of the 154 selections, 83 made the President's Honor Roll.

Among the fall sports, Women's Soccer was responsible for the most selections with 26. Making the President's list were Roxy Cruz-Santory, Shea Dinsmore, Taylor Durham, Rachel Gurinsky, Kaitlyn Judge, Paige Meyer, Karly Moe, Alex Pearson, Katy Primeaux, Allyson Rumfield, Brianna Shafer, Claire Sinak, Anna Stevens, Megan Tomlin, Kendall Traa and Kristal Williams. Those on the Commissioner's list include Heather Dawson, Nicole Faris, Nadia Flores, Sam Lara, Haleigh Lombardo, Caitlin McCarrell, Montana Montes, Lauren Peck, Alyssa Taramona and Lisa Tomenendal.
 
As for its male counterparts, 20 Men's Soccer student-athletes made the Honor Roll with the President's list consisting of Kiernan Akers, Ignacio Fernandez, Ryan Hoskins, Mitchell Kilmer, Garrett Larrington, Bryan Parra, Arturo Sanchez, Daniel Sanchez and Jack Wolf. On the Commissioner's list were Patricio Botello-Faz, Carlos Duenes, Aaron Dunks, Alex Gonzalez, Victor Luna, Armando Macias, Diego Mendez, Emilio Mendez, Jack Moore, Gonzalo Orozco and Luis Sanchez.
 
Volleyball was represented well with four of its 11 selections named to the President's list. The four: Tori Estrada, Lauren Holman, Jenna Paul and Rachael Scicchitano, were joined by Ariana Flores, Channing Hankins, Megan Isbell, Maddi King, Allison Rose, Lauren Slaughter and Maddy Walsh.
 
Both Men's and Women's Tennis were impressive in the classroom as 14 of their selections were named to the President's list, Jamie Lee Denton, Kaylin Kruseman, Cristina Lopez, Alexandria Maciel, Hannah Petersen, Mariela Sarinana, Tyra Timm, Kerry Wiegand, Benoit Bourban, Richard Green, Feliz Hollaway, Luke Keller, Michael Maciel and Aldo Maldonado. Joining them were Joanie Bryant, Georgina Gosen, Matt Banner, Adam Dockery, Richard Foley, Brien Galon and Josh Mosseri.
 
Representing Women's Basketball on the President's list were Alejandra Esparza, Haley Richter and Emily Troell. On the Commissioner's list were Ciaira Briseno, Briana Bustamante, Desirae Elias, Kiara Etheridge, Julia Ewalefo and Kealani Marquez.
 
Men's Basketball honored eight players, featuring Hudson McAshan, Kriston Minor, Bryce Smith, Yanni Wetzell and Stefan Wright on the President's list with Skyler Brooks, Gemeny Givens, and Isaiah Parros on the Commissioner's list.
 
Responsible for the second most on the Honor Roll was Softball with 22 student-athletes. Jourdan Alvarez, LeeAnn Campos, Katelyn Corley, Hannah Fields, Miranda Medina, Alyssa Moscot, Raynelle Nash, Alessandra Ortiz, Kristi Rangel, Jordan Russell, Kristal Salinas and Sydney Wellmann were on the President's list as Keanna Cisneros, Jennifer Hernandez, Hannah Michel, Ashley Mills, Alena Moreno, Elisa Palacios, Sydney Paredes, Elizabeth Phillips, Hope Russell and Olivia Van Hook were on the Commissioner's list.
 
Rattler Baseball accounted for the most honorees with 27 student-athletes, 15 of which made the President's list. On the President's list were Bryce Brandl, Conner Camacho, Matthew Causino, Jaryd Hodgson, Zacharie Johnson, Kyler Lambert, Bryan Ramirez, Jonathan Ramirez, Jan Paul Reguero, Nathan Schwertner, Oscar Sepulveda, Quinton Smithwick, Samuel Wheatley, Wyatt Willis and Steven Wynn. While Beau Barnes, Steven Cardone, Keith Funk, Nicholas Garcia, Ryan Haston, Kyle Jenkins, Jack Kaiser, Garrett McKenzie, Donaldo Perez, Justin Sebo and Matthew Smith were on the Commissioner's list.
 
Men's and women's golf combined to have 10 student-athletes on the Honor Roll with Kelly Contreras, Maria Regina Gonzalez, Paige Weiss, John Caldarola and Javier Villaneva on the President's list while Allison Howarth, Kirby Gorzell, Jonathan Ledger, Arcadio Ramos and Eric Valenzuela were named to the Commissioner's list.
