Named to the Honor Roll throughout all four years of high school and graduated with cum laude honors... Was a finalist in Doubles J4 Santa Tecla, El Salvador... Two-time Champion in Doubles and semi-finalist in singles J5 Kingston, Jamaica. Champion in doubles and semi-finalist in singles in J5 Cartagena, Colombia.

His brothers, Gabriel and Sebastian Castillo, played tennis at UT Chattanooga and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, respectively... His parents, Paola Sanchez and Roberto Castillo, played tennis at Freed-Hardeman University for four years... His uncles, Gustavo and Francisco Castillo, are both professional tennis players with over ten years in the sport.
