5/13/2026 6:55:00 PM

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — The No. 16 St. Mary's University Women's Golf team is sitting pretty after a long day of golf on Wednesday at the NCAA Championships at the PGA National.

After getting rained out on Tuesday after competing only 7-to-9 holes of their first round, the Rattlers came back on Wednesday to finish the first round and then golf the second set of 18 holes for a two-round total of 605 strokes (308-297/+29) and fifth place in the standings.

DBU leads the field at 11-over-par (587), holding a one-stroke lead over Wingate heading into the final round of stroke play. The top eight teams will move on to Medal Match play on Friday.

Amely Bochaton from Wingate currently sits atop the individual leaderboard with a two-round total of 135 (-9), eight strokes ahead of DBU's Ella Cheek and Lily Nelson from Henderson State.

St. Mary's junior Taylor Wilczek (Anthem, Ariz.) is tied for fifth with 146 strokes (70-76/+2), as five of the top 25 are from the Lone Star Conference. Wilczek has posted 25 holes of par in the 36 holes thus far.

Sophomore Brielle Burns (Houston) is tied for 26th place with her total of 151 (76-75/+7), while fellow sophomore Sabree Lefebvre (Riverview, Fla.) made a huge jump between rounds one and two, carding a 71 in the second round for 152 strokes. She moved up 39 places on the leaderboard into a tie for 29th (81-71/+8). Her 71 is one stroke off her career-low round of 70 from the Texas State Invitational on Feb. 2, 2026, and she currently has eight birdies through 36 holes.

Freshman Manon Verret (Toulouse, France) also made a drastic improvement from her first to second rounds, firing a 75 in the afternoon, eight strokes better than her first round, to climb 23 places into a tie for 59th (83-75=158/+14).

Sophomore Sophia Perkins (Sydney, Australia) is locked in a four-way tie for 79th place after turning in rounds of 81 and 82 for her total of 163 (+19).

The Rattlers will compete in the final round with golfers from Cal State San Marcos and Findlay. The three teams are separated by only five strokes headed into the final day.
