KERRVILLE, Texas — The St. Mary's University Men's Tennis team swept a pair of matches at the George & Frances Cree Tennis Center on Saturday, beating both Howard Payne and Schreiner 7-0.
The Rattlers (3-0) have yet to drop a set through the first three matches of the season, and three posted double bagel wins in singles action, as freshman
Nikita Gavrilonoks (Riga, Latvia) did so at line three against Howard Payne, while both sophomore Lucas Castillo-Sanchez (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) and freshman
Florian Smalto (Paris, France) did so on court and two, respectively against Schreiner.
Sanchez and Smalto also dropped only one game in the first set against Howard Payne, as did freshman
Ollie Eriksson (Austin, Texas) at number four singles in both of his matches.
The doubles teams all recorded at least one break of serve in each match in the long, successful day.
The Rattlers return home to host Collin County CC on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 1 p.m.
