SAN ANTONIO — St. Mary's University Baseball Coach
Frank Kellner announced the finalized 2026 schedule on Monday.
With the addition of UT Dallas to the Lone Star Conference, all 50 games on the slate will be LSC contests. The first two series of the year, at Sul Ross State (Jan. 30-Feb. 1) and Oklahoma Christian at Dickson Stadium (Feb. 6-8), will be three-game sets, while the remaining 11 series will consist of four games, a 9-inning contest on Friday evening, a doubleheader of 7-inning games on Saturday and a 9-inning game on Sunday.
The Rattlers host seven of the 13 series, including the Eagles, UT Dallas (Feb. 13-15), Angelo State (Feb. 27-Mar. 1), Texas A&M-Kingsville (Mar. 13-15), West Texas A&M (Mar. 27-29), Cameron (Apr. 10-12) and UT Tyler (Apr. 24-26).
The six road series will be at the Lobos, Lubbock Christian (Feb. 20-22), Texas A&M International (Mar. 6-8), St. Edward's (Mar. 20-22), Eastern New Mexico (Apr. 2-4), UT Permian Basin (Apr. 17-19).
The Rattlers are coming off a 29-24 campaign in 2025 that saw them advance to a hotly contested series against rival St. Edward's in the first round of the Lone Star Conference Tournament. The team returns 21 players off that squad, including starting pitchers
Kaleb Gauna (Hondo, Texas) and
Gabe Cook (San Antonio), as well as four starting position players in
Garrett Brooks (Spring Branch, Texas),
Jacob King (San Antonio),
Dillon Lopez (San Antonio) and
Raithen Malone (Mont Belvieu, Texas).
Home games for the Rattlers will be at 6 p.m. on Friday, 2 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday, barring any changes from Mother Nature. Senior Day will take place on April 26, in the regular season finale against UT Tyler. Other special dates will be announced as they approach.
