FangSide Chats: Getting to Know Kevin Driggs

During the summer, St. Mary's athletics will be bringing you "Fangside Chats: Getting to Know" profiles of our head coaches to shine a light on who they are outside of their sport.
 
We sat down with Kevin Driggs, Women's Soccer Head Coach, on his birthday, to find out more about him as he prepares to kick off his sixth season with the Rattlers. StMU has advanced to the Lone Star Conference Tournament all five years with Driggs at the helm, and though he has one of his youngest teams in a while, the goals for postseason advancement have not changed.
 
Q: What is your favorite place you've ever traveled?
A: Washington D.C., to learn about the history of our country. 
 
Q: What do you enjoy doing most when you're not coaching or recruiting?
A: Hanging out with my family 
 
Q: What movie will you always watch on tv, no matter how many times you've seen it?
A: Christmas Vacation 
 
Q: What is your favorite quote and why does it resonate with you?
A: "Be where your feet are." It helps me appreciate where I am at this point in my life.
 
Q: If you had $1,000 to spend on yourself for fun, where would you spend it, and on what?
A: I would go watch the Buffalo Bills play.
 
Q: If your pets could speak English, what do you think they'd say?
A: "Pet me more than you do!"

Q: What is your favorite sport to play, other than the one you coach?
A: Hockey
 
Q: How old were you when you knew coaching was the profession for you?
A: 24
 
Q: Do you play any musical instruments?
A: I do not, but I've always wanted to learn to play the guitar.
