SAN ANTONIO — St. Mary's University Director of Tennis
Bill Macom is excited to announce the signing class Men's Tennis for the 2025-26 season.
Macom has added six men's student-athletes, a mixture of five incoming freshmen and one college transfer. Four are Americans and two are international students, while three of the six are listed at 6 feet, 5 inches on their student-athlete questionnaires.
"I think all of these guys are going to make our practices more competitive on a daily basis and will help build a stronger team culture," Macom said. "I am looking forward to seeing them bring our program up another notch."
All six will begin competing for the Rattlers in the Fall, 2025 semester.
Diego Alvarez, 6-5, 195, Fr., Santa Cruz, Bolivia (Santa Cruz International School)
Alvarez was the U18 boys national champion in singles and was a finalist in doubles in Bolivia. He also competed in track & field at Santa Cruz International School.
Oliver Eriksson, 6-5, 190, Fr., Austin, Texas (AESA Prep Academy)
Eriksson was named the Capital Area Tennis Association Male MVP in 2023 and will return to southern Texas after training in Florida. He is known for his big serve and forehand, as well as his movement around the court.
Nikita Gavrilonoks, 6-5, 180, Fr., Riga, Latvia (Riga Zolitude Gymnasium)
Gavrilonoks is a member of Latvia's U18 national team and boasts a top-three ranking in the country. He was the 2024 doubles champion in Latvia and won the junior singles titles. He also took part in the Riga Zolitude Gymnasium Olympiads in physics and mathematics.
Colton Rogers, 5-10, 140, Fr., New Braunfels, Texas (Canyon High School)
A two-time Academic All-District selection, Rogers qualified for regionals his senior year, after doing so in doubles as a junior. He won four of his final five high school tournaments during the spring campaign and was selected to represent Canyon High School in the Comal ISD Leadership Summit.
Patrick Teuteberg, 6-3, 210, Fr., Oconomowoc, Wisc. (Marquette University High School)
Teuteberg was a two-time All-Conference doubles player and finished third at state in singles as a senior. He helped Marquette win the state title as a junior and was named to the honor roll throughout high school. He also played football for the Hilltoppers.
Evan Walther, 5-7, 145, Jr. Eagle, Idaho (Wheaton College/Eagle High School)
The lone transfer in the class, Walther joins StMU from Wheaton College, where he split time between No. 2 and 3 singles in 2025, going 8-5. Off the court, he earned Academic All-District honors. At Eagle HS, he was a three-year varsity starter, winning level 4 at the Utah State Sectionals, and winning the 2022 Idaho State doubles title.
