SAN ANTONIO — The St. Mary's University Men's Tennis team rebounded after losing the doubles point on Saturday morning to NCAA Division III No. 11 Trinity to win five of the six singles matches and post a 5-2 victory.

Aaron Ben Anton (Remseck, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany) got the singles action started with a 6-2, 6-3 win at line five, while freshman
Lucas Castillo Sanchez (Wesley Chapel, Fla.) won 6-2, 6-2 on court three to give the Rattlers the 2-1 advantage.

Lincoln Baldonado (Glendale, Ariz.) kept the momentum going with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Eric Liao on court four. Sophomore
Leonardo Fabbri (Faenza, Italy) won his opening set 6-1 before Ryan Warren came back to win the second set 6-2. Fabbri settled in to win the deciding set 6-3.Â

Alvaro Soler (Alicante, Spain) dropped his first set on court two, 6-2, but won the following two sets, 7-5, 6-3 for the team victory.

The teams also played three other non-scoring singles matches, and the Rattlers won all three as

Louis Hein (Hamburg, Germany) and
Daniel Matheu Baldor (Madrid, Spain) were all victorious.

The Rattlers head out on the road, playing a trio of teams at the Blue & Gold Crossover on Friday and Saturday. StMU opens with Rockhurst, before playing Harding and Northwest Missouri State.
