GAME ONE RECAP
The Rattlers jumped all over being home for the first time in 2025, scoring seven runs in the first inning. Senior Lauren Gonzales (San Antonio) and junior Abigail Dela Rosa (La Grange, Texas) both singled to start things. Junior Raegan Tennill (Corpus Christi, Texas) doubled to the gap in left center, scoring both. Senior Jadyn Abrego (San Antonio) was plunked with a pitch and Tennill came around to score on a single to left off the bat of sophomore Gabriela Banda (San Antonio). Freshman Miah Corona (Eddy, Texas) loaded the bases with a single to left. Senior Lauryn Ramos (Marion, Texas) crushed a double over the centerfielder's head to plate two more and the Cougars went to the bullpen.

Senior Mene'e Padilla (San Antonio) hit a sacrifice fly to left, scoring Corona and Gonzales singled to left to score Ramos for the 7-0 advantage.

Senior Madeline Bloom (Poway, Calif.) worked a terrific game in the circle, surrendering only one unearned run on four hits, walking one and striking out two. She only allowed one base runner in each of the first three innings and retired the side in order in the fourth. She improved to 2-0 on the year with the win. Senior Savannah Youngblood (Kingwood, Texas) pitched the final frame, walking one.

Gonzales, Tennill and Corona all collected two hits in the game, while Tennill and Ramos each had a pair of RBIs and Dela Rosa stole her second base of the year.

GAME TWO RECAP
The Rattlers once again hopped out to an early lead, scoring two in the first. After Abrego retired the side in order, Gonzales walked and Dela Rosa singled to center. Tennill moved the pair up 60 feet with a sacrifice bunt and both scored on a single up the middle by Banda.

The Cougars answered with two in the top of the second, but the Rattlers went right back to work, plating one in the second. With one out, freshman Araceli Arevalo (Houston) walked, moved to second on a bunt single by Gonzales. Both scored when Tennill reached on a fielding error by the third baseman.
