12/19/2025 10:22:00 AM

SAN ANTONIO — For the third straight season, the St. Mary's University Volleyball team had four members named to the Academic All-District team, selected by College Sports Communicators.

Alyssa Koehl (New Braunfels, Texas) and Landri Withers (Stephenville, Texas) were named to the team for the third time in their careers, becoming the first three-time honorees in St. Mary's history, while seniors Landry Cate (Hot Springs, Ark.) and Laurene Robinson (Bedford, Texas) earn the award for the first time.

The CSC Academic All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. To be eligible, student-athletes must be at least sophomores, both athletically and academically, with a 3.50 cumulative GPA or higher. Requirements to earn Academic All-District honors for volleyball student-athletes also include competing in at least 90 percent of the team's matches or starting in at least 66 percent of the matches.

Koehl, the D2CCA South Central and Lone Star Conference Libero of the Year, will graduate in May with a degree in exercise & sport science. She is a six-time selection to the Lone Star Commissioner's Honor Roll, a three-time Lone Star All-Academic team pick, a two-time LSC All-Conference honoree and now a three-time choice to the CSC Academic All-District team.

Withers graduated last week with her bachelor's degree in exercise & sport science and will enroll at Tarleton State to begin her doctorate in occupational therapy. She is also a six-time selection to the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll, a three-time LSC All-Conference honoree, a two-time LSC All-Tournament team member and a three-time pick to the Academic All-District team.

Cate, who also graduated with her bachelor's degree in exercise & sport science last week, is looking to attend physical therapy school to specialize in athletic injury rehabilitation. She has been named to the Lone Star Commissioner's Honor Roll in all four semesters with the Rattlers and will likely appear on the 2025 Fall team when it is announced.

Robinson earned honorable mention All-Conference honors earlier this season and was named to the 2025 LSC Athletic Performance team for her work in the weight room. She is a six-time selection to the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll and is working toward a dual degree, completing her bachelor's degree in computer science in May 2026 and her master's degree in cybersecurity in December 2026.
