CANYON, Texas — The St. Mary's University Women's Soccer team's pressing style dictated play from almost the opening kick in a 2-0 win at West Texas A&M on Saturday night.

Graduate student Natalie Gonzalez (El Paso, Texas) scored in the 44th minute, while sophomore Malia Dominguez (Helotes, Texas) took a lob pass from junior Shelby Paniagua (Cibolo, Texas) and beat the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute for the 2-0 score.

The Rattlers (4-2-1, 2-0-0) outshot the Lady Buffs (4-3-0, 1-1-0) 19-to-9 in the game and had eight shots on goal while limiting WT to one late in the second half. Gonzalez collected eight of the 19 shots for the Gold and Blue and had four shots on goal as she scored her fourth goal of the season, while Dominguez notched her fifth of the year.
