SAN ANTONIO — After dropping back-to-back matches by one point, the St. Mary's University Men's Tennis team bounced back with a 7-0 sweep over the Saint Mary Spires on Friday afternoon.

Graidyn Bowe (San Antonio), playing his first match of the spring, paired with junior
Alvaro Soler (Alicante, Spain) at number one doubles to get the day going for the Gold and Blue (2-3) with a 6-1 win. On court two, sophomores
Aaron Ben Anton (Remseck, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany) and
Bernhard Hauer (Vienna, Austria) also only dropped one game in a 6-1 decision. Freshman
Louis Hein (Hamburg, Germany) and senior
Ryan Koth (Boerne, Texas) won their first match of the season, 6-2, for the doubles sweep.

Four singles players won via the double bagel at ladder spots three through six as senior
Jake Faryniarz (San Antonio), senior
Oskar Irdoja (Tallinn, Estonia), junior
Daniel Matheu Baldor (Madrid, Spain) and freshman
Leonardo Fabbri (Faenza, Italy) all played without dropping a game.

Soler won six of the seven games in each set at number one singles and senior
Nicolas Llosa (Lima, Peru) won 6-1, 6-2 at number two.
