TYLER, Texas — The St. Mary's University Women's Basketball team couldn't become the team to snap a two-year winning streak at home for the UT Tyler Patriots as they fell 61-38 on Thursday evening.

The Rattlers (4-17, 4-11 Lone Star Conference) ended the game on a 7-0 run as freshmen scored 22 of the 38 points on the night.
Taylor Haggan (Parker, Texas) narrowly missed her sixth double-double of the year with 10 points and nine rebounds, while
Vani Sancho (Baton Rouge, La.) added nine points.

Natalia Ryng (Gdynia, Poland) tied for game-high honors with nine rebounds and had two of the team's seven steals on the night. Junior
Stina Svilberg (Tallinn, Estonia) finished third on the club with eight points.

The Patriots (20-5, 14-2 Lone Star) utilized 14 players throughout the game with none playing more than 29 minutes. Both Brooklyn Palmer and Destini Whitehead scored 11 and Whitehead did the majority of her damage early. Ella Bradley led the team with six rebounds and four assists.

The road doesn't get any easier for the Rattlers as they head to No. 9 Texas Woman's on Saturday for a 1 p.m. tip. The Pioneers hosted St. Edward's on Thursday.
