SAN ANTONIO — Fans at Dickson Stadium were treated to another high-scoring affair on Sunday between St. Mary's University and Oklahoma Christian University baseball as the Rattlers won the game 18-12 to win three of four in the series.

The two teams combined to score 30 runs on 29 hits with six errors. There were 10 walks issued and six batters hit. It is the 15th time in the last 16 games between the two clubs that more than 10 combined runs were scored.

Sophomore
Garrett Brooks (Spring Branch, Texas) remained hot at the plate, going 4-for-6 with three RBI and three runs scored as all nine Rattlers (8-9, 7-9 Lone Star Conference) collected at least one hit in the game.

Seniors
RJ Galvan (San Antonio) and
Easton Parrish (La Vernia, Texas) each were 3-for-6 at the plate. Galvan scored three times and recorded two RBI, while Parrish scored twice and drove in three. Junior
Hogan Heller (San Antonio) drove in four – all in the eight-run second inning – as he hit a home run and doubled in his two at bats.Â

The Rattlers sent 14 men to the plate in the eight-run second inning. It is the first time since March 17, 2023 at Angelo State the team scored eight runs in an inning as they totaled seven hits in the frame.Â

In the four games, St. Mary's scored 50 runs on 55 hits. It is the first time since March 8-9, 2019 at Texas A&M International the team has had over 50 hits in a series.

Junior
Tyler Pauly (Fisher, Texas) worked the first four innings on the hill, giving up six runs on three hits with four walks, two strikeouts and four hit batters. Sophomore
Kaleb Gauna (Hondo, Texas) improved to 1-1 on the year after working two innings. He surrendered three runs on four hits with one walk and four strikeouts.
Miguel Bustamante (San Antonio) and senior
Brett Brown (Sinton, Texas) also both pitched in relief.
