SAN ANTONIO — Despite shooting well over 50 percent in the second half, the St. Mary's University Men's Basketball couldn't complete the comeback on Senior Day against Lubbock Christian, dropping an 86-70 decision.

The Rattlers (11-15, 7-13 Lone Star Conference) honored five seniors in
Tyler Caron (Longview, Texas),
Jalon Johnson (Tuscaloosa, Ala.),
Edward Manuel (Lake Charles, La.),
Jaden Moore (Okinawa, Japan) and
Haik Tatevosyan (Los Angeles) and those were the starting five. It was the first career start for Moore and Tatevosyan.

Junior
Franklin Agu (London, England) led the Rattlers with 15 points and nine rebounds, six of which were off the offensive glass. Caron also scored in double digits, doing so for the 51st time in his career with 13 points.

Johnson posted a game-high six assists, while senior
Keith Dinwiddie (Los Angeles) added four assists and two steals.

The Chaps (20-8, 15-5) led wire-to-wire as Tiras Morton and Ethan Duncan combined to score 47 of the 86 points. Kurt Wegscheider led the team with eight rebounds.

The Rattlers wrap up the home portion of the 2023-24 season on Tuesday as they host St. Edward's at 7:30 p.m. The teams then head to Austin for a Thursday night matchup for the final game of the season for the Gold and Blue.
