ODESSA, Texas — The St. Mary's University Men's Basketball team committed 13 fouls in the second half on Saturday at UT Permian Basin, which translated to 14 points for the Falcons and helped lift them to a 96-79 victory.
The Falcons (12-8, 7-6 Lone Star Conference) sank 17-of-21 from the charity stripe during the game (81.0%), while the Rattlers (8-10, 4-8 Lone Star) shot 8-for-14 (57.1%) at the line but did manage to connect on 5-of-7 in the second half.
UTPB was also hot from the three-point line in the first half, hitting 10-of-15 (66.7%) before StMU held them to just one from deep in the second stanza. The Rattlers hit 5-of-9 in the opening half, and they were 2-for-10 in the second.
Junior
Franklin Agu (London, England) took charge down low, tying his career-high with 21 points and tying for the team lead with six rebounds as he led a quartet of Rattlers in double figures. Senior
Tyler Caron (Longview, Texas) scored 13, while both senior
Lachlan Bofinger (Sydney, Australia) and junior
Micah Jones (Durham, N.C.) chipped in 10 points. Bofinger also brought down six boards.

Keith Dinwiddie (Los Angeles, Calif.) led the game with three steals.
Keyon Craddock led the Falcons with 20 points, hitting six three-pointers in the first half, while Lathaniel Bastian added another double-double to his tally with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
The Rattlers return home to kick off the second half of the Lone Star Conference race. Texas A&M International comes to town on Thursday, while they face Texas A&M Kingsville on Saturday. Game times are 7:30 p.m. and 3 p.m., respectively.
