• St. Mary's finally plays at home, hosting Texas A&M Kingsville on Friday at 1 p.m. and #22 Angelo State on Saturday at Noon. Saturday also marks the annual Homecoming Alumnae game, which will take place around 4 p.m.
• The Rattlers men's and women's tennis teams will be hosting a free community clinic on Friday after the match with the Javelinas. Get instruction from your favorite athletes and coaches, beginning at approximately 4 p.m.
• St. Mary's is riding a seven-match win streak and has won nine of its last 10 matches, with the lone loss coming at the hands of Division I UTRGV. The Rattlers are ranked 17th in the nation and are 15-3 this season.
• The Rattlers own a 7-1 lead in the all-time series against Texas A&M Kingsville and have won the last two meetings. StMU is also a perfect 4-0 at home against the Javelinas.
• After dropping the first match against Angelo State, the Rattlers have won the last two for a 2-1 edge in the series. A year ago, StMU won a tightly contested 4-3 battle.
• The duo of senior Gabi Ioannou and freshman Stela Sifuentes has been on fire since first coming together this spring. The pair are 8-0 in doubles matches, with seven victories coming at #3.
• St. Mary's remained steady at #17 in the national rankings this week. The team dropped to #21 in the previous rankings, but climbed back into the top 20 last week.
• Both sophomore Bailey Godwin and freshman Stela Sifuentes have the longest active win streaks on the team in singles with six straight. Senior Angela Vargas is right behind them, winning her last four matches at #2.
• In the ITA individual rankings, senior Ashley Penshorn is 22nd in the singles rankings this week. She and partner Kyndall Quiroz are also #12 in doubles.
• Senior Ashley Penshorn earned the Lone Star Women's Tennis Player of the Week twice in a row on the long Spring Break trip. Penshorn is 16-1 in duals this season and has 73 victories in duals. She is four wins shy of the all-time mark of 77 by Cristina Lopez (2012-16).
