RICHARDSON, Texas -- For the second-straight week, St. Mary's senior
Ashley Penshorn has earned the Lone Star Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week.
Penshorn helped nationally-ranked St. Mary's to a 4-0 week in Florida by going 3-0 in No. 1 singles and 4-0 in No. 1 doubles. Penshorn won all her singles matches in straight sets and teamed with Kyndall Quiroz in doubles.
Penshorn's play against Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Bentley, St. Thomas Aquinas and Palm Beach Atlantic helped the Rattlers improve their winning streak to five matches.
The Rattlers return to Lone Star Conference play at UT Tyler on Friday at 10 a.m. and at DBU on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
