Ashley Penshorn, one of the most successful women's tennis players in St. Mary's history earned her second-ever Lone Star Conference Player of the Week honor on Wednesday.
Penshorn improved her winning streak to 10 matches with a pair of No. 1 singles wins, one against Division I UT Rio Grande Valley. She teamed with
Elena Munoz for a doubles win against Eckerd, helping St. Mary's to a team win. The senior from Montgomery, Texas is a perfect 12-0 at No. 1 singles this season and has won 10 of those 12 matches in straight sets.
The Rattlers are in the midst of a five-matches in five days trip to Florida for Spring Break.
