Ashley Penshorn (Montgomery, Texas), who was ranked a career-best tenth in the latest ITA singles poll, won her ninth straight match with a 6-3, 6-2 win at number one singles.

Bailey Godwin (San Antonio) won her second-straight singles match, posting a 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 6.

Junior
Elena Munoz (Corregidora, Queretaro, Mexico) was the only match that went three sets, as she battled tough at No. 5 before falling 4-6, 6-2, 3-6.Â

The Vaqueros started the match by winning the doubles point, but the Rattlers tandem of
Gabi Ioannou (Melbourne, Australia) and freshman
Stela Sifuentes (Eagle Pass, Texas) won by a tiebreaker at No. 3.
